Study art is the first step to become a painter. Actually, the best way to paint like a professional is the practice. During the painting's process there are some tips that beginners should follow. For example, it would be better to start a sketch on a paper and when you have the drawing ready you can translate it to the canvas in that way you avoid corrections that can foul the canvas. With time, you won't need to do this sketch and your Pinturas will improve.
There are some painting habits that will make you things easier. Clean your palette when finished painting. This measure will avoid mixing colors during the painting process and always put colors in same place on palette. Cover your palette with a plastic if you leave to paint for a long time. Paint is an activity that requires patience, for example, when you start an oil painting using oils, it can take some time for that first layer to dry. Brushes are important tools to create good Pinturas. There are brushes of different sizes and materials. Generally, sizes range from 1" to 20/0 or more.
There is an advice that all painters must follow. Be yourself; don't copy painting style of others. A very important aspect of oil painting is learning the right way to control your brush. If don't have a good brush control and technique, your efficiency as a painter will be limited and your Pinturas won't have a good finish. It is recommendable to have a workshop with natural light because colors are appreciated better. Obviously, this workshop will need good ventilation. Most paint's materials are toxic and flammable. |
