The Perfect Guest Bed And Bath
When we entertain guest in our home, especially those who are overnight or longer guest, we usually always go out of our way to make them feel at home, unless it is one of those guest that we had rather not stay, that is another problem all together. For our most loved guest, there are many things we can do that will make them feel more at ease while staying in our house.
The kitchen is one place that we should make sure our guest feel welcome in. Many times a guest will feel that our refrigerator is off limits unless they are asked if they would like something. It is good to let your guest know what things are in the kitchen to eat or drink and make sure they know they are welcome to fix whatever they like. Everyone loves a midnight snack and a guest who feels free to have one will be a happy guest.
The guest bedroom and guest bathroom are two places where you should really go all out to ensure your guest has a nice stay in your home. Put an extra blanket out in the room so they do not have to ask. Provide them with a personal television if possible. Make sure there pillows are as comfortable as yours are. A well rested guest is a more agreeable guest. Offer them the use of drawers and the closet so they do not have to live out of their suitcase. Tell them where an iron is located to freshen their clothes if they need to, better yet, offer to do it for them, that is if you can iron.
The guest bathroom is also very important. The master bathroom usually gets most of the attention in a home, but we should not skimp on things in a guest bathroom. Above all, make sure your guest bathroom is spotlessly clean. They will not feel very special if they have to clean their own bathtub before they use it. If there is a whirlpool tub, that is great. Make sure your guest have plenty of clean, fluffy towels and wash cloths in their bathroom. Provide them with guest size soaps and toiletries in a special basket or container, this always says welcome.
Candles can add a touch of elegance that really invites relaxation. Provide some updated magazines or a few interesting books to let them know they can linger in a bath as long as they like. With just a little thoughtful effort, you can be the host or hostess of the year!
